Dodge Fire Training
Steve Dodge comes from a long line of Wildland Fire Fighters.
Thanks to his Grandfather, Si Kent, Steve was exposed to the challenging world of Wildland firefighting early.
Si was the Assistant Ranger in Lytton and their house was adjacent to the Ranger Station.
Growing up in Boston Bar, Savona and Quesnel, Steve would often visit and watch in awe of the comings and goings of Helicopter's, crews and equipment.
Following in Si's footsteps, Steve began his Forest Service career in Fort St. James in 1980, culminating as the District Manager in Quesnel in 2015. Since retirement, Steve has kept busy and led the United Way's Fire Mitigation program in Quesnel and the Cariboo from 2018 to April 2020 when COVID ended the program. Most recently, Steve was a BCWS Fire Warden in 2022 and 2023.
